You can’t trust Nick Clegg and David Cameron with the NHS. It’s getting harder to see a GP, nurses have been cut and waiting lists are going up.
The Lib Dem and Tory Coalition scrapped Labour’s guarantee of a GP appointment within 48 hours, and now it is harder to see your family doctor, with fewer GPs offering extended hours and millions facing the prospect of waiting a week or longer to be seen.
While the Tories wasted £3billion on a damaging NHS reorganization, A&E waiting times have soared, ambulance waits have doubled and thousands of nurses and frontline staff have been lost since 2010.
Only with Labour will the NHS be better off. We rescued the NHS after years of Tory neglect before. We’ll do it again.
Labour will repeal David Cameron's NHS changes that put private profit before patients, so that NHS professionals can focus on your care, not competition law. We will give patients and the public a say when changes to local services are proposed. And we’ll bring together physical health, mental health and social care into a single service to meet all of a person’s care needs – whole person care, built around patients, not bureaucrats.
But we can’t do this alone. I need your help - to join our campaign and demand Nick Clegg and David Cameron stop breaking promises and apologise for the A&E crisis. You can sign up to the campaign by volunteering here. Help us send a message to the Lib Dems and Tories that the NHS deserves better than their broken promises.
