The Junction Foundation, a Redcar based charity supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged children and young people, is Anna's Charity of the Year for 2017.
The Junction support vulnerable and disadvantaged children up to the age of 25 years on a range of issues including mental health, homelessness, unemployment, debt and money problems, substance misuse, and young carers. They provide one to one support and projects tailored around the needs of individual young people.
Anna and her team will be raising money throughout the year to support their work.
Photo: Anna has sponsored the Redcar Athletic under 14s football team this year to put the The Junction's logo on their shirts to raise awareness of the charity and the work they do in the area. Anna and Chief Executive of the Junction, Lawrence McAnelly, went down to a training session to catch up with the team in their new kits.
Teenage Cancer Trust was Anna's Charity of the Year 2015/16 in memory of Marske teenager Georgina Anderson. £2,740.18 was raised in Georgina’s memory through events and challenges including a 100ft abseil. Thank you to everyone who donated, your support has made a difference to the live's of young cancer patients. More
