Challenging damaging Government school funding proposals

Under the Government's plans for funding education, schools and pupils in Redcar & Cleveland will be losing a whopping £7.8 million by 2020 – that is £422 per pupil in one of the most deprived areas of the country.

Whilst our primary schools are in the top 10% in the country, our secondary schools desperately need more support.

There are few things more important than the education of our children and we must be investing in the next generation so they can achieve their full potential.

In Parliament I have challenged the Government on these outrageous cuts. You can watch my speech in the video above or at this link.
