Anna meets Redcar pupils in Parliament

Anna welcomed pupils from Sacred Heart, Redcar Academy and Rye Hills School to Parliament today.

Following a tour and a chance to watch a debate in the chamber, Anna met the students to talk about why voting matters and why it is important for young people to get involved with politics.

Anna said:

“I had a great time meeting the children in Parliament. They were really interested in what Parliament does and asked some good questions. I am keen to see more young people engaged with politics and hope to help many more local schools visit Parliament in future. I would be very happy to assist with any school from Redcar visiting Parliament. If anyone is interested then please don’t hesitate to contact me on anna.turley.mp@parliament.uk or at my London office on 020 7219 5441.”
